From Nature Walks to Beer Festivals, Enjoy These Incredible Autumn Activities

Every season in Toronto is full of amazing things to do and experience, and fall is no exception. From amazing natural wonders to some of the best contemporary art in the world, here are five can’t-miss events in Toronto this fall.

Nuit Blanche

The largest contemporary art festival in North America is back. Nuit blanche is an overnight art extravaganza, and it is unbelievable. Explore Toronto’s neighborhoods while checking out over 75 incredible installations from both international and local artists.

The event goes all night, starting at sunset on October 5th and ending at sunrise.

Fall Foliage

While the leaves changing isn’t an event you can mark on your calendar, it is certainly a can’t-miss. Every fall as the seasons change and the weather begins to chill, the leaves on the trees put on a show unlike any other. Head to Hyde Park, Scarborough Bluffs, or Rouge Park to get a taste of this amazing natural wonder, or head north of the city to get the full show.

Cask Days

This October at Evergreen Beer Works is an event that beer lovers won’t want to miss. Cask Days is a cask-conditioned beer festival with over 400 casks of more than 200 beers and ciders. Cask ale is unfiltered and unconditioned, and once a cask is tapped, it should be drunk within a couple of days. Head on down to Evergreen beer works and try out some of the best Canadian and U.S. Beer before it’s gone.

Cask days will take place on October 18-20 at Evergreen Beer Works.

Gourmet Food and Wine Expo

For foodies and oenophiles, the Gourmet Food and Wine Expo is the best time of the year. This fall festival is Toronto’s biggest and best food fest. Here, you can find the country’s best chefs, brewers, vintners, and distillers.

The gourmet food and wine expo will take place at Toronto’s metropolitan convention centre from November 21-24.

Toronto Christmas Market

Just as fall comes to a close, the Christmas Market opens in the historic distillery district. Walk beneath twinkle lights and massive Christmas trees and get into the holiday spirit at this gorgeous and festive event. Stop in and visit vendors selling handmade crafts or enjoy the beer gardens for a pint or hot toddie as you take in some amazing live entertainment.

The Toronto Christmas Market runs from November 14-December 22 in the Distillery District.
